Ragamuffins was awarded 'Community Group of the Year' at the 2024 Orange City Council Australia Day awards.

  • Ragamuffins is a time for parents, carers and preschool aged children to enjoy a warm, accepting and activity-packed weekly time of fun and friendship.

  • Ragamuffins Playtime runs Fridays, 9:30am-11:15am during school terms.

We meet at the Orange Evangelical Church Ministry Centre - 2 Cottonwood Way (Corner of Cargo Road)

  • The Ragamuffins program is designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Parents and carers stay with their children at all times.

  • The Ragamuffins program combines free play (including a range of activity stations) and structured activities such as stories, music and singing as well as simple arts and craft activities. Some Christian content (eg Bible stories or songs) will occasionally be part of the program. In addition, each term may include visits from guests such as firefighters, musicians etc plus special events for children and parents.

  • Fees are payable upfront at the beginning of each term. A ten-week term is $30 and shorter terms are discounted. The price is paid per family.

The weekly fees cover all play resources and craft materials, as well as special events AND a luscious morning tea for parents and carers! Due to allergy concerns, children will need to bring their own morning tea. Ragamuffins maintains a nut free environment.

If you would like to bring your child but cost is a barrier for you, please contact Kristy using the contact button below.

  • Ragamuffins is a ministry of OEC and is run by an experienced and creative committee and team. All team members have a Working With Children Check and complete regular Safe Ministry training.

  • Morning tea for you child (nut free). Ragamuffins provides a fruit platter.
